Versatile Cards

I have a lot of Stampin' Up! designer series paper and I like to try to find a way to use it up... I have found that it is very nice for making multiple cards that are similar but then use different sentiments.  They are nice to give as a set for a gift or to use when I need a card with short notice.

best grandma ever

I have the best grandma ever!  She lives in Indiana and typically when she comes to visit she will stay for a month at a time.  Well, this last time she was here she was such a huge help for me and my family.  I'm going to school for my RN so trying to find time for family, friends, hobbies, going to my son's 3rd grade football games and studying is difficult along with getting housework and laundry done.

My grandma, bless her heart, has come in to town once a week to get our kids off the bus and do some housework and laundry.  There are no words to express how much it has helped me out other than "Thank You."

I think she'll like this card.  I need to stop and get her a little gift card too.  She and a friend always like to go to iHop to eat out but we don't have one here in Bemidji so I may have to opt for a Walmart or Target gift card.

cutie patootie penguin

I just love this little penguin!  I have a feeling I'll be making many cards with this cute little set!

Now, I wanted to share a comparison with you as well.  I don't know if you remember in a post a week or two ago how I said my black ink wasn't working so well.  Now, my penguin is cute in this picture but wait until you see my penguin using the new and improved SU black ink pad...

The black is so crisp and so clear!  That is one thing that has always bothered me about stamps that are more "filled in" with rubber is that I can never seem to get a nice, even image.  Well, with the new stamp pads it doesn't look like that will be a problem!

simple and fun...  This is another one of those sets that I just had to have but hadn't really had time to sit down and do anything with it.  It is amazing how much life can "get in the way" at times.  I thoroughly enjoyed making this card!
