Oh No!

I realized at about 11:15pm last night that I had promised a new card either Friday evening or yesterday.  Well, I whipped one up quick this morning for you.  I always like the cards that are simple and that you can re-create using different colors, embellishments, etc.  We had made a card similar to this at one of my card classes back in April so I used that idea and just changed a few things.

Unfortunately the cute brad in the middle is no longer available.  It was sold during a promotion prior to the new catalog coming out.  You can still purchase anything else that was used to make this card through my website.

With the fall weather I feel like making some fall cards but thought I'd get in one last summer card!  Now, I just need to find some time to replenish my card stash!!!  The best thing about that is you will benefit too.  Thanks for checking back!

Recipe
stamps:  bright blossoms, teeny tiny wishes

Free Shipping

From now through 10pm on Saturday, September 29th I am offering free shipping to all of my customer's with a $50 merchandise order.  This means your order must total $50 prior to tax and shipping.

This is a great time to stock up on anything you might need to make your holiday cards.

In order to receive this offer you must either e-mail me or call me.  You cannot place the order through my online store because then I cannot give you the free shipping.  The free shipping code if you e-mail me is FREESHIP50 and should be included in your subject line.  There is a link on the side bar to e-mail me.

Check out the holiday catalog if you haven't already done so - there is a link to it on the sidebar as well!

Now, the best part about spending $50 AND getting free shipping is that Stampin' Up! is running a "Back to Spool" promotion and when you spend $40 you get a free spool of ribbon in one of the new 2012-2014 In Colors.  You can click on the link above to see what colors are available.

I will have a new card posted either tonight or tomorrow so be sure to check back soon.

It's a Girl!!!

No, I'm not pregnant but my sister-in-law is pregnant and we found out last Friday at a Fabulous Reveal party that they are expecting a little girl.  Ever since we found out they were pregnant I have been buying little things here and there so I was able to put together a fun little gift for them.

Now, what is a gift without a cute homemade card?!?  Right???

At the time I obviously didn't know if they were having a boy or a girl so I was trying to make a card that would be fitting either way!

Would you like to know how I made this cute little hobby horse?!?  I used the stocking builder punch and the stitched stockings stamp set!  I love it when I can figure out more ways to use my punches and I will definitely be making more of these cute little cards.

Hopefully you will enjoy this card!  If you'd like to order any supplies so you can make it yourself you can shop online, e-mail me or call me!

Recipe
paper:  cajun craze, pool party, soft suede, whisper white, basic black, comfort cafe DSP
stamps:  stitched stockings, "happy new baby" comes from a retired set (an oldie but goodie)
ink:  soft suede classic stamp pad, more mustard marker, so saffron marker
accessories:  stocking builder punch, 5/8" crochet trim victoria, 1/4" grosgrain in so saffron

TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES!!!

I feel like I do pretty good with the technical stuff however, I downloaded Windows 7 on my computer and lost ALL of my bookmarks!!!  I learned how to use a program called Gimp to re-size my photos so I could put them on my blog.

Well, I remember how to use the program to re-size my photos but I couldn't remember how to create the watermark!!!  I finally found the link and will have a new post and card photo up shortly!

halloween is coming

With the start of school (for myself and my kids) you can see fall is just around the corner.  I noticed on my way to school this morning that the leaves are starting to change!  My 9 year old son is in football this year and I have always associated football with fall.  I guess what I'm getting to is the fact that Halloween really isn't that far away!

So last night I took out my new Halloween stamp set that I got about a month ago.  It is in the 2012-2013 Idea Book & Catalog.  I also got to use the new Essentials Paper Piercing Pack!  This is new to the current catalog and I just love it!  You can pierce around punches that you might have or some of the newer Big Shot framelits as well.

So, without further ado!
Now, I do apologize because the picture isn't as bright as I had hoped.  I took it last night in my basement and I just don't have good lighting down there.  I had another problem as well.  I wanted my little spider to be black.  I inked up my stamp on my black pad, it looked like I had good coloring on the stamp so I pushed it down onto my paper, picked up the stamp, and looked at my paper.  I got the faintest outline of black.  I have actually never run out of black ink or ANY ink for that matter in all the years I have been stamping.  So, instead of ordering a re-inker for my black pad I think I am just going to order a brand new pad because Stampin' Up came up with a new design and I'd like to try it out!

My patterned paper is not from Stampin' Up but it went really well with the colors that I wanted to use for my card!  As always, if you have any questions you can feel free to call me, e-mail me, or check out my SU website!  If you need to order any of the supplies you have seen today check out my store.
